3D Happy Flower 2 Instructions
Cut file is available for sale in the Silhouette Online Design Store here.
In addition to the cut file and your paper cardstock of choice, you will also need floral wire and glue to complete this project.
This paper flower is created by threading all the pieces onto floral wire.( Alternatively, you can omit cutting the center hole and just glue the parts together.) Begin by wrapping the end of the wire as shown.
After you have created a couple of loops at the end, bend the floral wire as shown. These loops will keep the flower pieces from falling off the end of the wire.
Curl the edges of the center petals with a craft stool or bamboo skewer as shown.
Thread the first center petal onto the floral wire. Then, glue the center of the second petal as shown. Thread the second center petal piece onto the floral wire and adhere to the first center piece.
For the larger petal pieces, use a craft tool or bamboo skewer to curl up the petals as shown.
Then curl down the very edge of the petals as shown.
Glue the centers and thread all of the petal pieces onto the floral wire and adhere each layer together. Try to stagger the petal shapes.
Press all of the layers together. Adjust the curled petals as needed.
After all of the petal layers have been added, glue and thread on the small leaf shape. Press all layers together and allow the glue to dry. Adjust the curled petals as desired.
Glue the edge and wrap the stamen piece around a craft tool or bamboo skewer as shown. Be sure not to glue the piece TO the stick! Slide it off the stick after it has been completely wrapped before the glue completely dries.
Add glue around the wire in the center of the flower. Press the stamen piece into the center of the flower. The hole in the center of the stamen should fit snugly around the wrapped wire. Adjust to fit as needed.
Bend or curl the stamen ends as desired. Allow glue to dry.
